Трамп герой не только потому, что обещал безоружным бросаться на каждого вооруженного полу-автоматическим оружием школьного стрелка. Это все мелочи. Трамп бросил вызов тем, кто на самом деле правит его, именно его, Америкой.
Он скромно объяснил, всего в нескольких словах, настоящую причину все усиливающейся эпидемии массовых расстрелов в США. Вот так:
"During the meeting, Trump asked Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) if they included raising the age limit for some gun purchases in the gun control bill they co-sponsored.
“We didn’t address that, Mr. President,” Toomey said.
“You know why? Because you’re afraid of the NRA,” Trump replied with a chuckle. “It’s a big issue right now. A lot of people are talking about it... A lot of people are afraid of that issue — raising the age for that weapon to 21.”

Но потом, через несколько дней, в гости к Трампу заглянули дяди из NRA и поимели с ним "очень хороший разговор". Судя по всему, они погрозили ему пальцем и следали ему предложение, от которого он не смог отказаться. Как там у классика, "They gave him an offer he couldn't refuse". И наш смелый, бессрашный, геройский президент...
"The administration on Sunday unveiled its plan to combat school shootings following the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, in February that left 17 people dead. In the plan: a proposal to arm teachers. Not in it: a proposal to raise the age limit on buying certain assault rifles from 18 to 21. The president is renewing his support for arming teachers and other school employees as well.
The White House will also create a federal task force to be led by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos that will examine possible solutions for improving safety in schools — but the commission has no deadline for its findings..."
